AKIZU Brain
Onboard unit for age-proven video
Brain combines a ModalAI VOXL 2 computer and a 5G modem in one sealed aluminium housing. On board it encodes video with the VERA protocol, attaches the exposure time to every frame and sends it to the mobile network. Anything that would arrive too late is dropped on the drone.

Overview
Who it is for
Drone makers and integrators who need remote video with verified age without building their own chain.
What it solves
A stale image that looks live. Brain either proves every frame, or the cockpit rejects it and shows why.
How it mounts
Four M3 screws with vibration dampers, one circular connector for power and data, two 5G antennas.
Outside
Aluminium that is also the heatsink.
Fins are milled in the direction of flight and carry heat away from the chip. A 30 mm fan exhausts to the rear and a perimeter seal protects the electronics. A serial label with a QR code identifies every unit.

Inside
VOXL 2 and a 5G modem in one housing.
A thermal pad conducts heat from the processor to the housing. The M0090 modem with the EM9291 module sits directly on the board and u.FL cables run to the antenna ports. Nano-SIM access is sealed and serviceable.

Black box
A record of what the operator saw.
Brain records the age and state of every frame and every command received. It signs the record and sends it to AKIZU Platform, where it becomes the evidence package for the flight.

Brain Duo · Concept
Two modems, two networks, one valid frame.
The Brain Duo concept carries two modems and two SIM cards. Every frame travels through two operators and the station shows the first valid copy. One modem cannot use two networks at once, so this is a separate version.

In more detail
What the onboard unit does not do
Brain adds the image chain. It does not fly the aircraft.
It does not pull the stick. It does not type-certify the airframe it is fitted to. Verify measures age before and after. The number stays a target until a further measurement confirms it.
Two networks are the Brain Duo design. The switch should be logged. When neither is valid, a frozen frame should not remain.
VOXL 2 is the board for the LET-1 gate in the first quarter of 2027. It is not a unit delivered today.
